A young woman wears the Color Conduit Shawl in front of a bay in the sunshine

The Color Conduit is a rectangular shawl knit from 5 ribbons.  Each ribbon is based on lacy tape, with extended yarn overs in the faggoted selvage, which uses yarn overs at the beginning of each row.  There are 3 ribbon patterns to choose from.

The ribbons can be joined up with crochet hooks or knitting needles after they are knit and arranged, or they can be joined as you go (JAGO).

Anzula Luxury Fibers supported this pattern with Cricket DK yarn, and helped me to choose “peacock” colors.  What delightful yarn!  What kind people!

Color Conduit is the first pattern in the Attached and Apart: First Course e-book.  This week it costs $12.00 and only Color Conduit is visible.  As the weeks go on, patterns from Knitecochic and Jill Wolcott will join it, and the price will rise.  But whether you buy the e-book at the least price with two patterns sight unseen, or the greatest price knowing what all three look like, you will receive all three patterns.

I made 5 Instagram tutorials to support this pattern:
