{"id":1347,"date":"2013-06-15T19:41:48","date_gmt":"2013-06-15T19:41:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/christineguestdesigns.com\/blog\/?p=1347"},"modified":"2013-06-15T19:41:48","modified_gmt":"2013-06-15T19:41:48","slug":"the-hard-part-is-partly-counting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.christineguestdesigns.com\/blog\/the-hard-part-is-partly-counting\/","title":{"rendered":"The Hard Part is Partly Counting."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have finally started on the knitted version of the Attleboro Sweater.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/christineguestdesigns.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=407\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-407\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.eagleswingscoop.org\/christineguestdesigns\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/sweater-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"sweater\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-407\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And now I know that I cannot count.  I used the tubular cast on for my swatch, but could I do it for 172 sts?  After 3 times trying and frogging, no, I guess not.  Of course, the second time I was also arguing with my husband.  <\/p>\n<p>This morning I tried the cable cast on with knit and purl alignments &#8211; but lost count and pattern again.  So finally I just cast on in plain cable cast on.  So counting is hard.  Counting and arguing is impossible.
