href=\"https:\/\/www.christineguestdesigns.com\/blog\/double-increases-a-comparison\/\">centered double increases<\/a>, and putting up tutorials on how to work them. &nbsp;So far I&#8217;ve&nbsp;written a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christineguestdesigns.com\/blog\/more-double-increase-swatches\/\">second post<\/a> about increases, because I forgot some, but Naomi reminded me, and a tutorial for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.christineguestdesigns.com\/blog\/k1-kb-pick-up-the-stitch-again-and-k1-a-tutorial\/\">K1, kb, pick up the stitch again and k1<\/a>.<br \/>\nWe had thundersnow yesterday! &nbsp;Ben&#8217;s college cancelled classes, so he didn&#8217;t have to take the train into Boston, and Dan&#8217;s work let out early, so he was home for lunch. &nbsp; &nbsp;The Northeast side of all tree limbs are coated with snow, and as I write, the morning sun is warming the color of the upper branches. &nbsp;So I&#8217;ll work with the <span style=\"color: darkorange;\">orange swatch today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2688\" width=\"162\" height=\"126\"><\/p>\n<p>For knit-ish increases I used k1, p1, k1 in one stitch, for purl-ish increases, I used p1, k1, p1 in one stitch.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2707\" darkorange;\">These increases make a fairly sturdy hole in the base of the stitch, but the patterns flow out from them clearly and smoothly.&nbsp;<\/span> It is interesting to compare them with the <span style=\"color: olive;\">k1, yo, k1 in one stitch or p1, yo, p1 in one stitch swatch, because they are so similar.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2752\"
