Usually there are some descriptions of the desired items, then a collage of images, not always of garments.  Sometimes it&#8217;s just words describing a <em>mood.<\/em>  It takes me four days to come up with any ideas.  Water must have something to do with ideas flowing because I&#8217;m either bathing a child, washing dishes or walking by the 10- mile river when I finally think of what I would submit, if I were submitting.<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t yet had any submission accepted.  I&#8217;ve decided this year to look at mood boards and make a design in my head, but since my actual working time is limited by real life, I&#8217;m not submitting until I finish up this year&#8217;s 5 patterns.  (In other words, Mamma Bear won&#8217;t let me.)<\/p>\n<p>I click over from the Ravelry Design forum.  Yes, yes, yes, all pages must have contact information, in the pdf, don&#8217;t put it in the e-mail, <em>where are the pictures<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Butterfly: Ooo! For Winter?  You are NOT designing a top like that.<\/p>\n<p>Patternist: How would you construct a low top?  Would you include boning so it&#8217;d stay up?  Would you sew in ribbon to snap under the bra strap?  The engineering could interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Mamma Bear: You are NOT designing a top like that.<\/p>\n<p>Patternist: I was only exploring technique, people need under layers, people need underwear.
