I watched Captain America the first Avenger last night with my son and husband.
I thought the final captain costume was a good blend of the traditional costume and something practical you could sneak around in. I especially liked the quilted diamonds on the shoulders. I started wondering if I could make a men’s sweater with shoulder emphasis like that when I remembered the last time I did black on black texture work – couching soutache braid on a skirt. I could only see what I was doing at mid day if the sun was shining.
So much for that idea, but if you have good lighting or young eyes, knit away.
